Best Spells for Fey Touched Feat
There are quite a few options to choose from, but you get Misty Step regardless. So, it is a good idea to find a spell that has some synergy with it or one that further aids the effectiveness of your character.
Let’s discuss picking the Bless spell for Fey Touched in 5e.
1. Bless
Generally speaking, Bless might be the best overall spell to choose for the Fey Touched feat. There are a couple of good reasons for this, which we will discuss below:
Bless lasts up to 1 minute and can boost your party’s attacks, ability checks, and saving throws without expending an action. However, do keep in mind that Bless is a concentration spell.
The usefulness of this spell is apparent both in combat and outside of it. You can use it to succeed on ability checks like detecting traps or saving throws when you are ensnared in one.
You can choose the targets of the spell, picking up to three targets within range. So, depending on the party layout during a fight, you can aid your frontliners and backliners.
2. Hunter’s Mark
If you are a ranger with the Fey Touched feat, this is an amazing spell to pick. However, it works on other builds too. There are quite a few important advantages this spell has over other spell options:
The Hunter’s Mark spell can be cast as a bonus action, so you can still use your regular action. Thanks to this low impact on the action economy, you don’t have to sacrifice much to cast it.
When you have cast the spell, you can locate the creature within a range and thus follow it more easily. This opens up a lot of use from a roleplaying perspective, like finding hidden bases and areas.
The spell allows you to deal more damage to your target.
The spell lasts up to 1 hour, so you have quite a lot of time to make the most out of it.

There is a reason why so many warlocks consider Hex to be one of their spells. However, we have put Hex at the third spot and not higher because it is less versatile. You will almost always use Hex inside of combat but never in a non-combat scenario.
4. Silvery Barbs
On to number 4 of our best spells for the Fey Touched feat in 5e! Yet another concentration spell that lasts up to an hour! Silvery Barbs is a versatile and interesting spell that is one of Strixhaven’s most OP spells for those who enjoy roleplaying.
The target within range is harder to deceive, intimidate, and persuade. The target has a disadvantage on deception, intimidation, and persuasion.
The range of Silvery Barbs is 60 feet, so you can use it in combat and outside from a respectable distance out of sight of any lurkers.
Silvery Barbs is great for parties that have the motto that a fight not fought is a fight won. That being said, I prefer to use Silvery Barbs to discuss prices with merchants.
5. Tasha’s Hideous Laughter
One of my favorite names for a spell is Tasha’s Hideous Laughter. This enchantment completes our top 5 of top Fey Touched spells. Tasha’s Hideous Laughter is a concentration spell that lasts up to a minute and is very useful in combat and outside of it.
You choose a creature. If it fails a Wisdom saving throw, it succumbs to uncontrollable laughter and becomes prone and incapacitated, unable to stand up until the spell is ended or if it takes damage. The target can also be “shook” out of the laughter.
The range is 30 feet, so you do not have to be close to the target to cast it. You can use the spell in many situations that are not necessarily combat-related. Just think about making someone laugh during a serious speech of a noble or the king.
6. Heroism
If you want to buff your party a bit and are looking for a way to do so easily, then Heroism is a great choice.
Heroism lasts up to 1 minute and is a concentration spell that adds temporary HP equal to your spellcasting ability modifier. Additionally, the target is also immune to being frightened.
The spell is great to use inside a combat situation where your tank is taking a ton of damage and your healer just can’t keep up, or if you want to fill in the healing gaps.
The range of the spell is touch, which is a downside.
Heroism’s downfall is that your spellcasting ability modifier needs to be pretty high. If it isn’t, then you might not have a high enough boost to matter a lot. Touch is also pretty annoying if you do not want to come too close to the frontline.
7. Command
Finishing off our ranking of the best fey touched spells is Command. This enchantment is a very fun and potent way to influence a fight.
You can give a creature within range a one-word command. The target needs to make a WIS saving throw, and if it fails, they will have to follow a command. These commands can be:
- Approach
- Drop
- Flee

This spell is pretty versatile, and there are a ton of things you can do with these seven basic commands. You can have a target approach your main damage dealer to get within their range or have them flee if you don´t want to fight.
The range of Command is 60 feet. This is quite a lot and gives you the possibility to cast the Command spell from quite a distance. This allows you to stay out of harm’s way in case the target makes their WIS saving throw and succeeds.

Fey Touched is a pretty good feat and gives your character a ton of extra options in battle. How good the feat exactly mainly depends on what spell you pick besides misty step.
